CJD press conference.

Two news items about a report due to be published today by the DOE, with the results of research being undertaken in Edinburgh and Plymouth on CJD. The researchers have been looking at appendices and tonsils which have been stored after operations, to try and discover if they can detect any which have been infected with CJD. So far they have examined 3,000. The programme speculates on the possible implications of the report.
