Notes

David Bennie lives in North London and has been called in as a last minute replacement for this project. He associates Trafalgar Square as a focal point for political demonstrations and has been there many times for demonstrations and rallies, including the Bloody Sunday demo where 13 coffins were carried to Downing Street. He also talked about the Poll Tax riots and going to the LSE in 1968 when it was a radical institution. He has been politically active all his adult life though he does not affiliate himself to any particular group. On the plinth he will be raising awareness of the Climate Camp which will take place in London.
