Lettering

Vera ac viva effigies Johan. Jesseni à Jessen, equit. ungarici, medic. doct. ac primùm quid. in florentiss. Witteberg. Acad. Anatomices ac Botanices Profess. Publ. postmod. v. Reg. bohem. Archiatri, Consiliar. In the lettering there is a space between Deus and mihi where the word "Saxoque" (present in earlier impressions) has been gouged out of the woodblock. Presumably it was considered inappropriate after Jessenius' terrible death
