Whilst somewhat disordered, there was enough indication that this series of files was originally arranged alphabetically for this to have been adopted as the current system of arrangement. Where original file titles were discernible, these have been placed in inverted commas. Where groups of correspondence relating to institutions and individuals are artificial accumulations, the file title has been placed in square brackets. In addition to the alphabetical sequence(B/1-78), there were four original groupings of general correspondence (B/80-82), to which has been added one artificial accumulation of loose correspondence found scattered throughout the collection (B/79).
