Biographical note

The Edwina Mountbatten trust was set up in 1960 in memory of Edwina Countess Mountbatten of Burma, and has three main beneficiaries: St. John Ambulance; Save The Children; the Nursing and Midwifery professions. Each year the Trust awards grants on the advice and recommendations of its Nursing Sub-Committee.
