Sir, The committee of the society of schoolmasters beg leave to inform you of their recently-established institution, and to solicit your patronage and support. The principal object of this society is to raise a fund for the relief of the widows and orphans of such schoolmasters as may die in necessitous circumstances: and the plan for effecting this, is by the subscriptions of the schoolmasters themselves, and by the donations of others, who from benevolent motives may wish to encourage the institution. ...
