Astma Fonds Carapatiënten: "CARA" was an acronym used in the Netherlands for chronic non-specific respiratory disorders (Chronische Aspecifieke Respiratoire Aandoeningen), such as asthma, chronic bronchitis and emphysema. However, because these tend to have different causes, the term was replaced in the Netherlands ca. 2004 by the English acronym COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) (website of Nederlands Astma Fonds) Bears logo of Nederlands Astma Fonds
