Description

The opening paper, on 'The need for more biochemical information in the field of food safety evaluation' was to have been given by A.C. Fraser, who died suddenly on 14 June. Chain presented the paper, with an introductory tribute to Frazer. Chain's tribute, and his contribution to the discussion, were published in the conference proceedings.

Material includes programme, list of participants, typescript of Frazer's paper, ms. and typescript re conference and publication of proceedings as a book 'Metabolic Aspects of Food Safety'.
