I have great pleasure in certifying that Dr. Wolfe was a meritorious and highly distinguished student in the University of Glasgow, and that during the whole of his academic caieer he conducted himself in such a way as to secure the esteem of his fellow-students and the approval of his teachers. His scholarship is general and varied ; his profes¬ sional knowledge profound, extensive, and minute ; he is thoroughly versed both in the theory and the practice of his profession; and I hereby recommend him as being well qualified to discharge its various and important duties.
