Notes

Maureen O'Kane lives in Cardiff but originally from Wolverhampton. She is an established bronze and mosaic artist who has done a large number of public art commissions including the mosaic on the Sagrada de Familia in Barcelona. Does a lot of work for schools, hospitals, old people's homes. She did a lot of travelling when she was younger, used to be a street artist after graduating. On the plinth she is going to make mosaics incorporating words chosen by school children in London and Cardiff from schools she has worked with before and give them out to the public. The idea is to allow the public to see an artist at work on the plinth.
