Notes

Sally-Anne Ryan comes from Wales. She is currently working as an artist and works with organisations that support animal welfare. Currently working with Save the Chimps and paints portraits of chimps that have been rescued. Previously to this she has written and acted, she has written for magazines, she's written screen plays and she still writes for animal welfare websites. She has also acted and a lot of her work is in the USA as she has lived there for two years and also travels with her husband's work. She is very much about animals, and caring for them and wanting to raise awareness of animal cruelty but in a different way to preaching about it. On the plinth she will be finishing a portrait of one of her chimps and will also have some signs to raise awareness of the organisation she is doing it for. She keeps 25 animals at home.
