Analecta quae P. Fr. Andreas à Marchtallo, Prov. Ant. Austr. conscripsit. Pars I [-IV]. Probably written by Joseph Höfle. There are a number of entries of medical or scientific interest. Part I Nomina Academiarum totius Europae Germanicae secundum ordinem alphabeticum (pp. 53-65). Behr (Georg Heinrich) M.D. of Strassburg [1708-1761] Die schwache Wissenschaft der heutigen ärzte: eine Satyr (pp. 105-141). Perhaps written by another hand: in verse. This was first published in 1751 at Strassburg. Partus mulierum notabiles (pp. 175, 176). Part II Dialexis et oeconomia medica pro vita hominis conservanda servanda et disponenda (pp. 47-50). The latest date found is 1784 on p. 69 of the last part. The name of Joseph Höfle is found on the title-pages of the first three parts, and he may be the transcriber of this MS. The collection contains a vast amount of economic, political, historical and ecclesiastical information, much of it in statistical form.

1 volume 1 l. + 179 pp. + 207 pp. + 236 pp. + 149 pp. + 6 ll. folio. 34 1/2 × 22 cm. 19th cent. half vellum binding. Some margins cropped. Title with an ornamental pen-drawn border heightened in yellow wash. Decorated with numerous engraved cut-outs pasted in as vignettes, tail-pieces, etc.: some have been coloured by hand.
