Description
Journal, accounts, recipes and other notes by a member of the Chardon family of Auxerre. Among the journal entries is a brief description of a disturbance over the price of grain at Auxerre, 17 July 1789 (ff.12v.-13r.).

Biographical note
The compiler seems to have been a merchant, formerly resident in the West Indies (f.15v.). He mentions the marriage of Oliver-Jacques Chardon (1762-1856) in 1816 (f.25r).
