Description

Confocal micrograph of a primary human fibroblast stained for mitochondria - the energy producing region of the cell in red and the nucelus in yellow. Fibroblasts are specialised cells responsible for producing the extracellular matrix and the production of collagen. They are also involved in wound healing.
