    Nortons Medicinal Compound. tion, and the manner in which the same is to be performed, to be as follows (that is to say) :— The said Invention consists and is made of the following articles or ingre¬ dients, viz:—Merc, sublimat., rad., gentian., zinziber, cort., aurant., cochineal. 5 In witness whereof, I, the said John Norton, have hereunto set my hand and seal, the Ninth day of February, in the fifth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Third, by the grace of God of Great Britain, France, and Ireland King, Defender of the Faith, and so forth, and in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred 10 and sixty-five. JN° NORTON, (l.s.) Signed and sealed by the said John Norton (being first duly stamped), in the presence of us, 15 Miles Crosby. J. Hall. AND BE IT REMEMBRED, that on the said Ninth day of February, in the fifth year of the reign of His Majesty King George the Third, the aforesaid John Norton came before our said Lord the King in His Chancery, 20 and acknowledged the Writing aforesaid, and every thing therein contained in form above said. And the said Writing was stamped according to the Statute made in the sixth year of the reign of the late King William and Queen Mary, and so forth. Inroiled the said Ninth day of February, in the fifth year of the reign 25 of His Majesty King George the Third, 1765.
