Rowles was an architect who in the 1940s carried out work for the Wellcome Veterinary Research Station, Frant and the Wellcome Research Institution, London.

The provenance of these drawings is not known: a previous cataloguer as suggested they may have been drafts for the Wellcome Research Instituion entrance hall.
