Notes

Keith Wollaston spent 9 years in the Navy as an electrician travelling around the world, the highlight of his career was serving on the Queen's ship. He now plays an active role in the sea cadets as a leader for 12-18 year olds and talks extensively about his role and what it means to him. He has now settled in Hull and is still an electrician for a number of different companies. He first head about the plinth through an artle in national newspapers. On the plinth he is going to do "club swinging" a Navy tradition initially used to build strength is now used for displays. He has been married for 22 years and has 2 daughters and one son who are all joining the navy. He says that he misses being in the forces, especially the comradery since he now mainly works alone. His aim in the future is to be an officer of the sea cadets.
