Biographical note

Project Summary:To discover how medicines work in a single cell, the artist Jo Berry (JB) will participate in practical research activities, using fluorescence microscopy to study Pharmacology of drugs and receptors in living cells, gaining insight into the scientific process and methods for using fluorescence imaging to measure drug-receptor interactions and signalling and Co-localisation in cells. The aim is to find new ways to represent the activity of cells from a drug perspective, generating digital design drawing ideas which will be used to create artwork and animations for an ambitious Citywide exhibition in Derby in 2011.
