Notes

Lana Citron is a published author of several novels. She is currently working on a book about the cultural history of kisses and will read out messages of love, poems and dedications during her plinth slot. Originally from Dublin, she has lived in London for seventeen years. She talks about being Irish-Jewish and of her family's Russian origins. She tells a story about her great grandfather arriving in Dublin disguised as a woman so as to escape the pogroms and army conscription in Russia.
