FOR WHICH IT IS A PERFECT SUBSTITUTE. -Me USES. DjK- 1. —As a highly efficient Aperient and Alterative to remove Impurities from the Blood, and for general use as an Aperient and. Cooling Medicine for Loss of Appetite and Debility. 2. —To correct excessive Acidity, to remove Red Gravel, and to prevent Irritation of the Bladder. 3. —To remedy the effects of Inactive Liver, Sallow Complexion. and Biliousness, and for Loss of Energy and Depression of Spirits. 4. —To remove unsightly Spots and Pimples from the Skin. 5. —In Abdominal Plethora, due to High Living or excess of Alcohol, and to remove Haemorrhoids (Piles) occasioned 'hereby. 6. —As a mild laxative in Habitual Constipation. 7. —As a remedy for Gouty Conditions of the Blood much benefit may be expected from its frequent use taken largely diluted when fasting. 8. —To prevent Constipation during a course of Iron in Female Irregularities. 9. —It reduces Obesity. xo.—It relieves Asthmatic and Bronchitic Affections by remov¬ ing Plethoric Conditions of'the Liver and Stomach. DOSE AS AN APERIENT. ,—One Powder dissolved in half a tumbler of cold or tepid water before breakfast. AS AN ACTIVE PURGE. —Two Powders dissolved in a small tumblerful of warm water, fasting. AS A COOLING APERIENT MEDICINE. —Two or three Powders may be dissolved in a pint of spring or filtered waters and a claret glassful taken every or every alternate morning, according to its action on the bowels. In this form it supersedes all the costly German waters. Sold in Boxes containing 12 Doses, 1/-: or 24, 1/9 per Box. SELECT MEDICAL OPINIONS. —“ It is the best, most pleasant, and most efficacious aperient I know.” “ Please send me four large boxes of Sal Mineralis—I find it a most useful preparation.” “ Send me some more of your Sal Mineralis, I find them very effective in operation and convenient in use.” “ I have found your Sal Mineralis a very useful remedy and much cheaper than the bottled waters.” COMPOUND THYMOL OINTMENT. An antiseptic and healing salve. Used as a dressing for ulcers, open wounds, broken chilblains, and indolent sores.—In Jars, Is- and Is. lOd. each. TERSBENE LINIMENT. Stimulant used for sprains and bruises, rheumatic swellings of the joints, and muscular pains in the loins. It is also a useful embrocation for whooping cough, and for chilblains before they are broken.—In Bottles, Is. and Is. lOd. each. PELLETS TO MAKE LEAD AND OPIUM LOTION. Used for making cooling and anodyne lotions. One dissolved in J-pint of water forms a valuable cooling lotion for the eyes, and for bruises and inflammation of the skin.—In Bottles, Is. 6d. and 2s. 9d. each. PELLETS TO MAKE ZINO AND OPIUM LOTION. Used for making an astringent and anodyne lotion. One dissolved in a |-pint of water forms a valuable collyrium in inflammation and weakness of the eyes. Five or six dissolved inapint of water form an astringent lotion or P jection, useful to arrest mucous discharges.—In Bottles, Is. 6d. and 2s. 9d. each. £3 _A_ O C EE .A.
