Description
The liver is boiled in the pot on the bonfire in the background and consumed immediately, the foreleg of the stag is cut off and given to the piquer (whipper-in), who then presents it to the duke and duchess
A cureé is held in the background: the hunting party forms a circle and watches and blows the horn as the hounds are let loose on the remains of the stag of which only the hide and head are retained
