Description
Last in a 3-part series giving an insight into the work of three top surgeons. This programme looks at the work of Professor Mike Griffin at Newcastle Royal Infirmary where he performs operations to cure oesophageal cancer. We follow two men with cancer of the oesophagus as Professor Griffin tests to see if they are viable for surgery and then as they undergo treatment. The surgery is a gruelling, high-risk procedure but is the men's only hope of survival.
