Notes

John Charles-Jones comes from Nottingham. John has worked in the farming industry for all of his working life and in the past five years moved to a new farm to start a new farming venture with his wife producing wheat. He talks about the importance of farming to the world's environment and he talks of statistics that mean we need to produce 70% more food by 2050 for the population to have enough food. Talks about the importance of people being aware of how food is produced and he talks of ways people can support British farmers and their work. On the plinth he will be taking up a placard - Farming matters. Not sure what he will be doing exactly.
