3̋,000 million shares in the drug company Wellcome are for sale today. It is the biggest non-privatisation share sale ever in London. Managers Robert Fleming have built a special computerised control room to monitor progress. Director Ian Hannan explains that there will be 9 syndicates around the world to communicate with London. He wants to encourage UK retail bidders in particular.
