Lines of Development in Medicine', Symposium at Twente, Holland, 20-21 November

The Symposium was organised by the Dr G.J. van Hoytema Foundation and Merck Sharp and Dohme Nederland. Chain went at the invitation of Merck Sharp and Dohme and delivered a paper on 'The Role of Biochemistry in Future Medical Research'. His paper was published in the symposium proceedings, which did not appear until 1972 (see letter of 6 November 1972).
