Notes

Due to his father's work, Nicholas Pearce, a half-English, half-New Zealander, spent part of his childhood in West Africa, Scotland, Syria, China, Russia, New Zealand and England. In this interview he talks about his experience of living in the The Hutong in Beijing and visiting the two-mile zone between Syria and Israel. A student at King's College currently on holiday, Nicholas wants to continue his Ridgeway hiking holiday on the plinth. So he'll be setting up his tent on the plinth whilst singing along to songs by New Zealand artists on his iPod.
