Notes

Jonathon Peter Couap is from York. He heard about the project when interviewing Gormley for a radio programme. He is going to do a live radio show for BBC Radio York while on the plinth. He has looked at the website many times. He finds the project, and Britain generally, a bit London obsessed. He chatted to a lot of people at the launch and will use some of this material in the programme, he will also use interview material from York and his own experience of the plinth. York means a lot to him. He likes London though because it is more ethnically diverse although he has a love-hate relationship with it. He grew up in Cheshire, went to grammer school, went to university in Hull to read English and Drama. It has been very difficult for him to organise his hour. He usually presents the lunch time radio show. He thinks the project is weird and wonderful and may be showing the essence of Englishness.
