Notes

Melanie Smith lives in London but originally from Lincolnshire. She studied art for her A-levels and still has a huge interest in the arts. She went on to study law and wants to be a barrister. On the plinth she will be reading out speeches from big leaders who have had an impact on her and society in general. Particularly looks up to Cherie Booth because what she has achieved. She is nervous herself about public speaking so doing this on the plinth is also a test for her.
