Notes

Katy Barrett comes from near Watford in Hertfordshire. She is currently working in the National Gallery as a guard - preventing people from taking pictures/causing trouble etc. She comes from a strong artistic background with her parents being involved in the creative arts; however she decided to curate for exhibitions instead of making work. She also talks about experience of being an only child and the effect it's had upon her. On the plinth she is going to put 100 glow sticks in rings around her body to make herself a light sculpture
