Description

Letter from Allen Mawer, UCL Provost, dated 28 Jun 1939 concerning the likelihood of shutting down the Department of Biometry in the event of war, Haldane's employment status and remuneration arrangements. Letter in reply from Haldane to Mawer dated 1 Jul 1939 stating that he would like to see the department and its animals moved to the country for research to continue, and requesting information about the employment of other workers in the department. Letter from E L Tanner, UCL Secretary, in reply to Haldane's letter to Mawer providing information about the position of staff in Haldane's department in the event of war.
