About this work

Description

These are some letters between Maitland and Muriel which touch upon Margaret's mental health. One from 1918 discusses Maitland's hopes for peace, and Margaret's progress thanks to the discovery of 'suppressed memories.' There are a few letters from 1923 which discuss Margaret's relationship with Noel Rowlands in some detail.

Label on file written by Ann MacEwen read: 'Margaret Radford's mental health, 1923 + crisis over Noel Rowlands. Maitland/Muriel Correspondence, 1918 (one letter), 1923 (several).'
