    To the Chairman and Members of Blaby Rural District Council. Mr. Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen, I again have the pleasure of presenting the Annual Report on the Health of the District for the year 1960. The report is divided into three principal parts. 1. Vital Statistics 2. Incidence of Infectious Diseases 3. Immunisation and Vaccination Statistics I will refer in this brief introduction to a few salient points which are of interest. The infant mortality rate of 16.1 is the second lowest figure recorded since 1938. It compares with a figure of 21.7 for England and Wales. There was again an outbreak of measles although numerically not as large as in 1959. The incidence of the infectious diseases remained 1 ow . In conclusion I should like to thank Mr. Galsworthy, our Chief Public Health Inspector, and all the staff of the Public Health Department for their assistance during the year.
