William Munk: "Marvodia: being an account of the last illness of James I..."

Marvodia: being an account of the last illness of James I, and of the post-mortem examination of his body, from a MS. long in the possession of the Marwoods of Honiton; to which are appended some notes in illustration of the Marwoods and of their descendants. Interleaved copy of the book printed at Exeter in 1885, with holograph notes and additions by the Editor, Dr. William Munk. On the first fly-leaf is an inscription by Dr. Frederick William Cock [1858-1943], written and initialled by him, stating that this work was given to him by Munk's daughters, Beatrice and Florence, 21st February, 1933.: it also mentions that the work was 'the author's own copy with his notes'. Dr. Cock continues with some remarks on the character of the illness of King James I, which he thinks was 'a mixed case of malaria and dysentery'. Produced in Exeter.
