Commonplace book containing extracts and quotations in French, English, and Latin: including some on medical and scientific subjects. Lettered on the outside of both covers 'Manuscript. E MD'. The inscription on the lower cover is dated 1744. The latest date in the text is 1784 on fol. 63. The 20 ll. beginning from the other end of the volume, contain mainly chemical, medical, and scientific entries.
