Description
A collection of titles relating to the pioneering French science and natural history filmmaker (in particular the undersea creatures in close-up) of Jean Painlevé with his life partner Geneviève Hamon made between 1927 and 1978. The first disc has the films with French narration, subtitles and as they were scored originally, the second disc is with an alternative score by Yo La Tengo without the DVD extras.
