Description
Histopathology of the skin: cutaneous amoebiasis
This is a low power view of a vulval skin ulcer. The left part of the picture shows ulceration into the subdermis. A plug of exudate fills the base of the ulcer. The adjacent epidermis (right) is hyperplastic because of a nonspecific host response to inflammation. H&E stain.
