Biographical note
British Child Study Association founded 1893: it was a federation of local Child Study societies with branches in Edinburgh, London, Cheltenham and later in several other British cities, comprising mainly teachers and parents. Amalgamated with the Childhood Society 1907.
James Sully, one of the founding members of the British Psychological Society, 1901, was an early influence in the Society.
