At the New York Academy of Sciences Workshop on 'The Role of Animals in Biomedical Research' (New York, April 28-9, 1982), Paton delivered a paper entitled: "Animal Experiment: British and European Legislation and Practice" (29 April). The file contains ts with pencil revisions, a 'Note added in proof', proofs (photocopy), and related correspondence. Also included is Paton, 'The Evolution of Therapeutics: Osler's Therapeutic Nihilism and the Changing Pharmacopoeia' (The Osler Oration, 1978) and an obituary (newspaper cutting, 13 June, 1982) for Dr Nathan Mutch.
