Description
Five albums of images taken by John Rutherford of Jardington of local scenes and Crichton Royal Institution; five boxes of photographs, copy photographs and lantern slides showing hospital buildings and grounds, patients, staff, recreation and occupation, events at the hospital, transport, Crichton Royal Museum and miscellaneous images.

There are several pages of photographs of buildings and people associated with the hospital in C. R. I. Scrapbook, DGH1/6/17/1, pp.165-199; there are photographs of patients in some volumes of Patient Case Books, DGH1/5/21, the largest number are found in Case Book Male, vol 12, DGH1/5/21/3/12
