Biographical note

Kenneth Southgate was a General Practitioner based in Stonehouse, Gloucerstershire. Southgate received his Bachelor of Medicine degree from the University of London in 1951. He went on to work as Medical Officer of Wycliffe College boarding school, and the charity Home Farm Trust. He was also a medical examiner for Refuge Assurance and Provident Life Association, and taught General Practice at Bristol University. In 1957 he received Family Planning Association certification. He was made a Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 1979.
