    -3- REPORT. Borough of Folkestone. Office of the Medical Officer of Health, FOLi^ESTONE, Kent. 30th Kune, 1946. To His Worship the Mayor, Alderman and Councillors of the Borough cf Folkestone. Mr. Mayor, Ladies and Gentlemen, I have to submit the Annual Report for the year ended 31st December, 1945. As instructed by the Ministry this Report has been abridged, but contains all relevant inform- ation and statistics. Notifications of Infectious diseases were below pre-war level although an outbreak of Measles occurred from Mareh to June. The percentage of immunized children has risen to V0%. The attendances at the various Clinics shovjed an upward trend. ngain the Birth Rato has increased from 18‘6 in 1944 to 19*7 in 1945, while the Death Rate has decreased from 17*0 to 15*0. The health of the Borough in general is still very good. I would like to be allowed to th?ink my colleagues in the Modic'^1 Profession for their co-oporaticn and for the willing assistance they gave during a difficult year.
