Description

This is a stiffener card that was inserted into the first day of issue envelope commemorating the International Year of Disabled People (EPH715:23A). The text discusses disability generally and the 4 stamps which were issued on 25 March 1981. The 14p stamp shows a golden labrador guide dog leading a blind man, a series of 4 pairs of hands signing is on the 18p one, a man rolling his wheelchair up a ramp is on the 22p one and somebody painting a rainbow on a sheet of paper with their foot is on the 25p stamp. The text is written by Stephen Crampton. Both the stamps and the cover were designed by John Gibbs.
