    OUT-PATIENTS. No. of Out-Patients No. of Operations .. 27 Attendances .. 2305 Attendances of Masseur 15 No. of Out-Patients 1524 There has been a decrease in the days in Hospital from 10,881 to 10,321. There is still a shortage of beds, and as soon as we get back to normal routine, this shortage will become more accentuated. During the year there has been an increase in the investigation work which has been carried out in the department. There have been no radical alterations since the last report and the apparatus has worked very satisfactorily. I would surmise that the onset of war and latterly the extreme weather conditions are accountable. I wish to thank the Committee for their generosity in providing the new Dental equipment ; and also Dr. Stewart Hess and Mr. Allan Capper for their invaluable assistance in the administration of anaesthetics for my dental cases.
