Ligia Kowalska born in Southport but now lives in Surrey. Her family is Polish (grandparents came over after the war). On the plinth she will be dressed in a Polish folk costume with plaits and flowers in her hair and will be singing the Polish national anthem. She will also be taking up flags and will also teach people random Polish words and sayings. She works as an events organiser for Autotrader. She also does a lot of amateur dramatics, musicals and did her first panto last year which she loved.
