About this work

Description

The Elements of Materia Medica, on vegetable substances in Medicine, on vegetable physiology, human anatomy [etc.]. An anonymous student's notes of lectures given at Trinity College, Dublin by Dr. Osborne whose name is found on p. 81. He obtained his M.D. in 1837, and from 1840 until his death was professor of pharmacy and materia medica. [Cf. B.M.J., 1864, i, p. 162]. Starting from the other end of the volume the 75 ff. contain 'Notes on Hallam's 'Constitutional History of England. Subject of Special Exam for Degree in History: 1869', written by Lawrence C[harles] F[rederick] Thompson [1849-1925] Trinity Hall: this is written on the rectos only. Produced in Dublin and Oxford.
