Unsigned letter to Cramer from Johann Christian, Baron von Wolf, professor of philosophy and mathematics at Marburg, regarding the "ontology" of philosophy. Dated 5th March 1730.

The letter is in English and is apparently a late nineteenth - early twentieth century translation of an original whose location is not known.

Gabriel Cramer (1704-1752), Swiss mathematician and philosopher, was based at Geneva. Details of his life and career can be found in Dictionnaire historique & biographique de la Suisse ed. Marcel Godet, Henri Türler & Victor Attinger (Neuchâtel: Administration du Dictionnaire historique et biographique de la Suisse, 1920-1934).

Baron Johann Christian von Wolf (1679-1754) was professor of philosophy and mathematics at Marburg 1723-1741.
