About this work

Frank Rowntree is asked to discuss smoking and drinking, but on this occasion comments on drinking only. To start with he talks about alcholism and compares social with compulsive drinking. He warns about the progression between social to compulsive and then chronic drinking. Rowntree is not one of the anti-drinking brigade. The warning signs are cravings, morning and lone drinking amongst others. He warns against introducing children to drinking at home - he has evidence to suggest that this is happening amongst 13 and 14 year olds.
