About this work

Description

An anonymous manuscript in Katakana majiri containing advice on carbuncles, boils and other skin eruptions including hand coloured illustrations, probably made in the late 16th century. One of the recommended treatments is cautery, and the initial portion of the text states that 300 leeches are needed to deal with the after-effects.
