File consists of papers and general correspondence related to the seminar on, "History of Dialysis in the UK: c. 1950-1980", which was held at the Wellcome Trust Centre for the History of Medicine at UCL, on 26 February 2008. The seminar was part of the Wellcome Witnesses to Twentieth Century Medicine meetings also known as the Witness Seminars. The transcript of this seminar was published as Volume 37 of the Witness Seminar series, S.M. Crowther, L.A. Reynolds and E.M. Tansey (editors), History of Dialysis in the UK: c. 1950-1980, (London: Wellcome Trust, 2009).

List of attendees, suggested outline of meeting, control sheets concerning feedback on transcripts, publishing permissions and marketing leaflets for the meeting.

Handwritten notes and copies of e-mails regarding the organisation of the meeting and notes between the organisers and editors regarding the transcript and accommodating people's comments.

Notes prepared for the seminar by David Hamilton including notes of his conversations with Professor Darmady and Professor Malcolm Milne in 1980.

Notes from Professor David Kerr, titled "Dialysis 1950 to 2000 in Newcastle upon Tyne" which were provided at the seminar.

Notes from John Hopewell, titled "Early History of the Royal Free Hospital Renal Unit" which were provided at the meeting.

A letter provided by Dr Stanley Rosen which was an invitation from Dr C. Foster Cooper of the Royal Society of Medicine, dated 14 January 1962 (provided at the meeting).

A copy of the article, "New Developments with Artifical Kidney" which appeared in the British Medical Journal, 29 June 1963 (provided for the meeting by Dr Stanley Rosen).

A pamphlet (provided by Frank Marsh) written by Professor John Ledingham titled, "The Outlook for Renal Failure Before and After the Development of Dialysis at the Royal London Hospital".
