Diary of trip to Paris and the USA, February to March 1963

Typescript journal account of Burkitt's trip to Paris and the USA. The account covers 7 Feb-5th Mar 1963 (including a stop in Italy and by train via Switzerland, to France). Burkitt was attending and speaking at a conferences in the UNESCO building in Paris and another conference in Houston, Texas, USA. During the conference in Paris the proposed name of Burkitt's African tumour was discussed and at that stage the term 'Burkitt Tumour' was agreed, although Burkitt himself seems to have kept out of the discussion. The account of the USA covers his landing in New York, train journey to New Orleans and airplane to Dallas.
